My mom used to tell me I was like a magpie; they have a reputation for collecting shiny things, and I love jewelry – all of it – I don’t discriminate.

Turquoise jewelry has been a long-time personal favorite – probably because my mom loved it, too.

I was excited to find Rachel of ihana jewelry; a lot of her jewelry was turquoise. She’s based out of Baraga, Michigan, but she also has an Instagram account where you can buy her unique pieces.

My first piece of jewelry was a necklace.

I recently received earrings for Christmas as well. (Thanks, mom, for helping me collect like a magpie!)
