We would like to challenge you to a Leprechaun Trap Challenge!
Here are the rules:
1. None!
Well, okay …
You must:
– Be done before St. Patrick’s Day.
– Have fun.
– Share a picture with us!
Good luck catching that sneaky leprechaun!
We plan on using things we have around the house. There’s no reason to buy crafts for this (you can) but challenge kids to use what they can find (or recycle) in the house.
Here’s our collection of items for our trap so far:
- Shoe box
- Toilet paper rolls
- Empty apple sauce cup
- Construction paper
- Glue sticks
- Packaging tape
- Marshmallows
- Gold stars
Happy planning!
UPDATE:
Mchalie gets complete credit for the design. She saw what we had. Planned. And created.
Thanks for sharing your ideas!
From Jamie T.:
From Kelly H.
From Dawn:
Well, none of us were able to catch the leprechaun, but we had some fun things left behind!
We read these books to go along with making our trap:
Book #1: There was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Clover – https://amzn.to/2uaxKA7

Book #2: How to Trap a Leprechaun – https://amzn.to/2ObHMdM

Book #3: Pete the Cat: The Great Leprechaun Chase – https://amzn.to/2x7CQSN
Book #4: How to Catch a Leprechaun – https://amzn.to/2vxDUic
Update for St. Patrick’s Day 2020. Mchalie has made another trap this year. We had to share it to show that we are keeping the tradition alive.
