Updating lighting is fairly inexpensive and a great way to update the look of a home – compared to the cost of some other remodeling options.
Initially, I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about replacing our outdoor lighting with lights that felt like they matched a farmhouse-look, but I decided to go for it and order a light I found on Wayfair. It was on sale for around $60 (medium-sized of three options), and I loved it – online.
Yet, you never know how something is going to look in person, so I ordered one light to replace the back porch light before I decided if I wanted to order more.

After the light was replaced, I was happier than I expected. The quality of the light was fantastic, and it looked perfect. It was very easy to install, and the lighting itself is much better on the back porch than it was previously.
Of course, I went straight to Wayfair’s website to order more, but even though the price on Wayfair was still indicating a sale price, the price had jumped.
Fortunately, I decided to do an online search and a light showed up as a match on Amazon that appeared identical. I didn’t hesitate and ordered more, because the price was around $15 – $20 cheaper per light. The customer ratings were great as well.
They arrived quickly, and the side porch lights look a lot better! I’m very happy with them.

The lights are fantastic, and I could not tell the difference between the one we ordered from Wayfair versus Amazon. It is really amazing what lighting can do for a home.
