In the kid’s bedroom, I set up this double, wire basket to fill with books for the month. I’ve had this for some time, but I found a really cute alternative.
For October, I grabbed books from our personal library that matched a Halloween theme.
The kids range in age from toddler to pre-teen, so I have a variety of choices.
I have been wanting to do this for a while.
Just grabbing them from the bookshelf and placing them on display encourages the kids to grab something they may otherwise not choose on their own.
There are definitely books that they love more than others. Sometimes, they will choose the same books over and over again, and that’s okay, too. This is a nice opportunity to try a variety of books.
October’s List of Books:
Book 1: Dora’s Spooky Halloween
Book 2: One Halloween Night by Mark Teague
Book 3: Little Owl’s Night by Divya Srinivasan
Book 4: Boo! To You, Too, Winnie the Pooh

Book 6: The Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid of Anything by Linda Williams
