A few months ago, someone shared a recipe for homemadesyrup.

It never crossed my mind to make homemade syrup.

Tonight, it was breakfast for dinner and the perfect opportunity to try the recipe.

Ingredients:

– 1 stick of butter

– 1 c. of sugar

– 1/2 c. of milk

– 1 T. of vanilla

– 1 t. of baking soda

Directions:

1. On the stovetop, melt butter (1 stick) and add the sugar (1 cup) and milk (1/2 cup).

2. When the sugar is dissolved, bring to a boil and add the vanilla (1 T.) and baking soda (1 t.)

3. Remove from heat and use your homemade syrup to cover your pancakes, French toast, waffles, etc.

We had banana pancakes tonight (I will share that recipe soon!) The homemade syrup was the perfect topping!

It’s delicious. You’ll wonder why you never made it before. Enjoy!
